DSUNPROTM HMS, often known as homosalate, is an effective absorber which specifically absorbs short-wave UVB rays associated with DNA damage. It is especially compatible with other UV filters such as Avobenzone and Octocrylene to create effective sun protection blends that covers a wider range of UV rays. Its biggest advantage is that it dissolves well in other hard-to-dissolve powdered sunscreens. This colorless to light yellow liquid integrates easily into the oil phase of sun protection formulations and is ideal for all kinds of sunscreen formulations.
