DSUNPRO^TM OMC, also known as octinoxate, is an efficient UVB filter that prevents skin from sunburn and premature photoaging. Its hydrophobic nature allows it to be used in non-aqueous, water-resistant, and waterproof sunscreen formulations. This UV filter is approved worldwide and has a good safety profile with low toxicity levels. When combined with other UV filters, it increases the SPF value, enhancing sun protection. Additionally, OMC acts as a photostabilizer, helping to protect colors and fragrances in cosmetic products such as sunscreens, face foundations, and lotions. It can be easily incorporated into emulsions, offering the added benefit of enabling cold processing. OMC is also used in the treatment of photosensitizing dermatitis.
